Independently audited annually for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Full audit report available to enterprise prospects under NDA.
Certified information security management system. Our ISMS covers all aspects of data processing, access control, incident response, and business continuity.
Fully compliant with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. We operate as a Data Processor. Users retain full rights to access, correction, and erasure of their data.
Article 27 representative appointed for EU users. Standard Contractual Clauses in place for any cross-border data transfers, though all Indian user data stays in India.
Cloud infrastructure empanelled by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. All data is processed within sovereign Indian territory on Mumbai/Pune zone servers.
By default, no query, document, or session data is retained after a session ends. Conversation history is only stored if you explicitly enable it in your account settings.
Every NyAI Enterprise deployment runs in an isolated Virtual Private Cloud. No shared infrastructure, no shared models, no shared logs. Your data never touches another client's environment.
We use AES-256 encryption for all data at rest and TLS 1.3 for all data in transit. Encryption keys are managed in dedicated Hardware Security Modules and rotated quarterly. Access to production systems requires hardware MFA and is logged immutably.
Our models are hosted entirely on internal infrastructure. We do not route sensitive legal queries through any third-party AI provider including OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google. All inference happens within our controlled environment.
Annual red-team penetration testing is conducted by CERT-In empanelled security firms. We operate a responsible disclosure programme with a 48-hour response SLA for critical vulnerabilities.
Enterprise clients deploy NyAI entirely within their own AWS India or Azure India tenancy. Full network isolation, customer-managed encryption keys, and dedicated compute.
Granular permissions by matter, client, practice group, and user role. Full SSO and SAML 2.0 integration. Every user action is logged with timestamp and IP address.
Every query, document access, export, and configuration change is logged in a write-once, tamper-proof audit trail. Logs are available for internal review and regulatory inspection.
99.9% uptime SLA with multi-AZ deployment and automated failover. Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of 1 hour and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) of 4 hours for enterprise clients.
Annual third-party red-team exercises by CERT-In empanelled firms. Responsible disclosure programme with public security advisories for all resolved vulnerabilities.
Data Processing Agreements available for all plans. Enterprise clients receive custom DPAs with specific SLAs, breach notification timelines (72-hour default), and audit rights.
NyAI is built in full recognition of Section 126 of the Indian Evidence Act (now reflected in the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam). Our Zero-History mode ensures that sensitive strategy discussions, draft pleadings, and client instructions never leave your session memory — maintaining the confidentiality obligations that are fundamental to legal practice.
We will never comply with requests for client data without a valid court order, and we notify affected clients promptly (to the extent legally permitted) when any such request is received.
Our security team provides full documentation — including SOC 2 Type II reports, ISO certificates, DPA templates, and architecture diagrams — to enterprise prospects under NDA.
"Access to quality legal intelligence should not be a privilege reserved for the largest firms. NyAI exists to democratise professional-class AI for every Indian practitioner."— Founders, NyAI Technologies · Ahmedabad, India · 2024
India has over 1.7 million advocates and thousands of in-house legal teams. Yet the tools available to them were never designed for the unique complexity of Indian law — foreign-built software adapted for a system it fundamentally doesn't understand.
The Indian legal system is vast and deeply layered: 25 High Courts with distinct practices and local rules, a Supreme Court corpus spanning decades, hundreds of specialised tribunals, and a constantly evolving regulatory framework across SEBI, RBI, MCA, IRDAI, CCI, and more. International AI products simply don't understand this landscape.
NyAI was founded in 2024 by lawyers, AI researchers, and product builders from Ahmedabad who set out to change this. We built from first principles — curating Indian law datasets, training models on Indian legal reasoning, and designing workflows around how Indian practitioners actually work.
Every answer is cited. We'd rather acknowledge uncertainty than hallucinate a judgment. Accuracy is non-negotiable when the stakes are someone's liberty or livelihood.
Not adapted. Not translated. Purpose-built. We think in Indian legal categories, BNS provisions, HC local rules, and the regulatory language of SEBI and RBI circulars.
Advocate-client privilege is sacred. Zero retention by default. You control what NyAI remembers — and you can delete it all in one click at any time.
From solo advocates in Ahmedabad to national firms in Mumbai — every Indian legal professional deserves tools as powerful as those used by the largest firms.
NyAI Technologies incorporated by Mahir, Mahek, and Tirth. The founding team begins building the Indian law corpus and designing the research platform.
Started curating Supreme Court and High Court judgment datasets, training the first legal research model, and building the core infrastructure.
NyAI's legal research engine goes live in private beta. Early users from Gujarat and Maharashtra begin testing the platform and providing feedback.
NyAI opens to all Indian legal professionals. Contract review, regulatory monitoring, and BNS/BNSS/BSA comparative tools launched.
Active development continues — expanding court coverage, deepening regulatory analysis, and building the most comprehensive Indian legal AI platform.
Join a team on a genuine mission. Open roles in AI engineering, legal research, and product.

NyAI acts as a Data Processor on behalf of the individual advocate or law firm (the Data Fiduciary). In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, we process personal data only for providing legal research and drafting services as instructed by you.
By default, NyAI retains conversation history and documents for a period of 3 years in compliance with standard Indian legal record-keeping norms regarding the general limitation period for civil actions. You may explicitly request deletion of your data at any time through Settings.
All data is processed within the sovereign territory of India on MeitY-empanelled cloud infrastructure (Mumbai/Pune AZs), ensuring compliance with Section 16 of the DPDP Act regarding cross-border transfer restrictions.
You have the right to access, correct, and erase any personal data we hold. Submit requests to privacy@nyai.in. We respond within 72 hours for standard requests and 24 hours for urgent matters.
We implement AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, hardware MFA for all production access, and immutable audit logs. We hold SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications.
